Cause
Our mission is to preserve, protect and enhance the fish and wildlife habitat of the Oyster River watershed. The Oyster River Enhancement Society operates a volunteer run Salmon Hatchery on the Oyster River, located within Bear Creek Nature Park, near Black Creek BC.
There has been a significant increase in numbers of salmon returning to the Oyster River since ORES was founded.
